Places to stay. When paddling in Chilliwack we recommend staying on the south side of Chilliwack (Sardis). Promontory, Garrison Crossing, Cultus Lake, and the Vedder area offer many airbnb’s. The Hampton Inn is one of the closest hotels to Tamihi, approx 21 minutes. There is also camping at Tamihi Rapids. Tamihi Rapids campsite consists of 7 tent campsites and 3 RV parking sites. You can also check out these rustic cabins at Tamihi Meadows often used by fishers - Cabins which are located a short drive from Tamihi Rapids.
What to do. Besides paddling at Cultus Lake or on the Chilliwack River we recommend grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many great restaurants in District 1881 (also known as Disneyland) or stay on the south side of Chilliwack and head over to Sidekick Brewing (near the Vedder Bridge, 12 minutes from Tamihi) or Old Yale Brewing. We recommend the Little Beetle or Cookies for a fantastic breakfast. Chilliwack offers many local hikes and trails. The closest grocery store to Tamihi Rapids is Save-On-Foods located in Garrison Crossing.
