Kayak Lessons at the Lake
Registration is now open for Spring 2024 Kayaking Lessons (April through July)!
Our beginner youth programs are based at Cultus Lake where our Boathouse is located. Levels 1, 2 and 3 are taught on flatwater by our experienced, NCCP certified staff. All equipment is provided.
Our whitewater programs are taught on moving water. The exact location of the lessons will be determined based on water levels. Typically these lessons are taught on the Chilliwack River, the Highway Gates (near Cedarwal Farms) or the Hope Slough. Levels 4 through 6 often consist of short river runs and park n play sessions where learners learn to play in the eddy’s.

School Groups
The CCE Paddling Club has been offering paddling opportunities to local schools and groups for over a decade. Our group lessons are fun, engaging, and students will come away having learned the basics of paddling so they can safely paddle at the lake. All equipment is provided by the Club which makes these lessons an easy, cost effective way to give students the opportunity to try a new sport.

POOL SESSIONS
We are excited to offer pool lessons for youth, free try-it kayaking sessions and member only drop in sessions again in 2024. Sessions will held at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre on February 9, February 16, February 23, March 1, March 8, and March 15. 6:30pm to 7:30pm
(6 Friday sessions)
- Free Try - It Sessions (pool entry fees applicable, no registration required, no membership required)
7:30pm to 8:30pm
(Membership required)
- Youth Level 1 and 2 kayaking lessons (ages 11-17 ) Feb 9, 16, 23. Cost is $55 plus youth membership fee of $25.
- Youth Level 1 and 2 (ages 7-12) March 1, 8 and 15. Cost is $55 plus youth membership fee of $25.
8:30pm to 9:30pm
(must arrive by 8:15pm, membership required)
Member drop in (Registration required). Self directed paddling with volunteers available to give rolling tips. Cost is $105 for 6 sessions or $20 per session.
Youth Level 3 - Youth Intro to Whitewater March 1, 8, 15 (only 5 spots available). Must have completed levels 1 and 2. Cost is $55 plus youth membership fee of $25 if not already a member.
