Indoor Kayaking Lessons brought to you by the Chilliwack Centre of Excellence.

2013 Sunday Dec. 8th 8:30am to 10:00am

In this set of lessons you will discover the joy of kayaking in the comfort and warmth of the Cheam Leisure Centre pool. At the conclusion of these lessons, students will have learned enough basic boat control to feel comfortable paddling in the drop-in pool sessions, as well as outside on lakes and other flat water environments.

You will learn the basics of kayaking during two 1.5 hour sessions. December 8th and 15th. Each session starts at 8:30am and runs to 10:00am in the pool. Please meet at the boat trailer outside of the pool to get equipment ready at 8:00am. Then we'll go change our clothes for the session.

The lesson will cover basic boat control, safety precautions to consider when kayaking, and self rescue techniques in a life guard supervised environment. The CCE will provide boat, paddle, spraydeck, lifejacket and instruction.
