Signage at Tamihi

Thank you to the following groups on behalf of Chilliwack Centre of Excellence Paddling Club for the sign and interest in partnering on improving the Tamihi Rapids.

 Through the efforts of the Ts'elxwéyeqw Tribe, Fraser Valley Regional District, Tourism Chilliwack, and Recreation Sites and Trails BC a sign was erected at Tamihi Rapids, as the first phase in improving the Tamihi Rapids site in the Chilliwack River Valley for generations to come, by recognizing the site as home to Whitewater Kayaking Olympians and World Cup Athletes. The slalom course has been in existence for over 30 years but the river has been appreciated by the Ts'elxwéyeqw Tribe for over 6000 years.

Thanks also to Rob Fletcher for the vision and determination to make the sign happen.
